Select from a variety of options below to explore the birthplace of an architectural revolution. Tours are available daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and
the last week in January for Preservation in Action. All tours support the restoration, preservation and education programs of the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust.

Tickets

  • Entry into the museum is by guided tour only.
  • Day-of tickets may be purchased at the museum shop starting at 10 am daily. To avoid disappointment, we suggest purchasing your tour tickets early in the day during summer and fall.
  • Advance tickets are available for select daily tour departures. Tickets are available for sale online or by calling E-tix at 800.514.3849 until 8 am CST on the day of the tour. E-tix customer service hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm CST and Saturday 9 am to 2 pm CST. Tickets can be held for will-call pick up at museum. Guided Interior Tours of the
Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio

Frank Lloyd Wright used his first home to experiment with design concepts that contain the seeds of his architectural philosophy. In his adjacent studio, Wright and his associates developed a new American architecture - the Prairie style. Trained interpreters offer insights into Wright's family life and architectural career.

Entry into the museum is by guided tour only. Limited wheelchair accessibility is available. Please call 708.848.1976 in advance for special arrangements.

Self-guided Exterior Audio Tour Frank Lloyd Wright Prairie School of Architecture National Historic District

Oak Park is home to the world's largest collection of Wright-designed buildings. Explore the Historic District surrounding the Home and Studio at your own pace. The self-guided audio tour features exteriors of a rich selection of Wright-designed, Prairie style and Victorian homes.

Geek's Guide to the Home and Studio: Restoration Tour

Discover how a dedicated crew of volunteers saved the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio from ruin. Focusing on the alterations to the Home and Studio from 1909 to 1974, made by Wright and subsequent owners, the Geek's Guide tour details the inspirational story of how the historic museum was returned to its 1909 appearance. Survey photos and drawings documenting the restoration process, and visit the Preservation Trust Research Center to examine items uncovered during the restoration. Discussions include the controversial restoration decisions made and on-going restoration questions about the Home and Studio.

Experience all of Oak Park's 27 Wright-designed structures on this 90-minute fun and fact-filled bicycle tour. With the world's largest concentration of Wright-designed structures, Oak Park is an outdoor museum of architectural history. Participants must provide their own bicycles. For kids, by kids. Free tours of Wright’s Oak Park home decorated for the holidays. Led by Junior Interpreters, specially trained 5th through 10th grade students, the tours focus on Wright family celebrations of the Christmas holidays. An adult must accompany children under 8.
